| STaRS fosters hope and improves the quality of life for children who need reconstructive surgery, their families and the medical teams that care for them. |
Surgical Teaching and Reconstructive Surgery (STaRS) Foundation's teams of surgeons and medical personnel are invited to developing countries to collaborate with local medical professionals in the care of children needing reconstructive surgery. In a series of visits over a three to four year period, STaRS helps local medical/surgical teams develop skills in advanced surgical techniques through ongoing education and support, thereby providing a sustainable benefit for afflicted children now and in the future.
